I am delighted to welcome you to the Centre for Skills Development (CSD), Pune—an inspiring initiative under the aegis of Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha (MKSSS).

Established in 2018, CSD was founded with a clear vision: to prepare students—especially young women—for the evolving needs of the industry and society. Since then, the centre has been committed to creating a vibrant learning environment that promotes skill enhancement, employability, and self-reliance.

What sets CSD apart is its focus on value-based, need-oriented, and skill centric education. Our programs are designed not only to equip students with professional competencies but also to develop essential life skills that build confidence and character. Alongside academic studies, students are encouraged to pursue professional training that helps them discover their potential, acquire income-generating abilities, and embrace lifelong learning.

At CSD, we are deeply committed to inclusiveness, equipping all learners with skills that foster financial independence and a life of dignity. Warm greetings from MKSSS’s Centre for Skills Development (CSD), Pune!

We are proud to be part of the Knowledge Era—a time when education transcends textbooks and traditional classrooms. At CSD, we believe education is not just about acquiring information; it is about empowering individuals to think critically, act creatively, communicate effectively, and collaborate meaningfully.

Guided by the visionary framework of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and inspired by the life mission of Bharat Ratna Hon’ble Maharshi Dhondo Keshav Karve ( Fondly called Anna), our goal is clear: to offer holistic, multidisciplinary, and skill-based training that enables girls and women to thrive in today’s dynamic world. Since our inception in 2018, CSD has emerged as a beacon of opportunity—transforming not just lives, but futures.

We offer a wide array of programs tailored to real-world needs—Digital Literacy, Financial Awareness, Communication, Soft Skills, Digital Marketing, Stock Market Basics, and Entrepreneurship Development—all designed to equip learners with life-ready and work-ready skills.

As Maharshi Karve believed, “To educate a woman is to educate a family, a society, and ultimately the nation.” At CSD, this belief is at the heart of everything we do. Our vision goes far beyond employability. We are committed to nurturing confident leaders, responsible citizens, and ethical professionals. Every course we offer is need-based, industry-aligned, and delivered in a safe, inclusive, and affordable environment, supported by modern infrastructure, ICT-enabled classrooms, and a team of dedicated mentors.

We believe that every woman has the potential to lead, to create, and to make a lasting impact. That’s why we don’t just train job seekers—we nurture job creators, supporting aspiring entrepreneurs with training, mentorship, and market exposure.

Our training philosophy is rooted in the 4Cs of 21st-century success: Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, and Creativity. These pillars prepare our learners to meet the challenges of a fast-changing global economy with confidence and resilience.

As we look to the future, our focus is on quality, consolidation, and measurable outcomes. We are expanding our reach through short-term, weekend, and certification programs, especially for learners in urban and semi-urban communities.

To ensure long-term sustainability and broaden our impact, we are building a multi-stream model that includes CSR-funded skilling programs, fee-based corporate workshops, skill-based consultancy services, and collaborations with NGOs, government bodies, and community partners. Our vision is to become a financially self-reliant, community-rooted, and impact-driven centre focused on quality, accessibility, and transformation.
